REFRIGERANT AIR DRYER
Refrigeration air dryers
The increasing need for high-quality compressed air in industries free from pollutants has caused the use and need of refrigeration dryers more than ever before. The air coming out of the screw compressor has oil, dust particles, humidity and high temperature and it will cause damage to the piping system, compressed air consuming devices and finally the quality of the final product will decrease.
Refrigeration dryers cool the air coming out of the compressor using the refrigeration cycle and separate the water and moisture from the compressed air. This type of dryer has a dew point of 2 to 5 ◦C. To reach the negative dew point (if needed), an “absorption dryer” shall be used.
The refrigerant gas used in refrigeration dryers is R134, which is environmentally friendly. One of the most important features of this gas is its excellent thermodynamic properties compared to other gases, its ability to work different ambient temperatures, and its excellent performance at low pressure.
